Consultation: During your first appointment, we will conduct a detailed consultation with you. If you wish, we can begin treatment on the same day. All Botox treatments are always divided into two sessions, which has the advantage of avoiding over-injection and an "artificial facial expression."
Preparation: The treatment area is carefully cleaned and treated with a skin-friendly disinfectant to minimize the risk of infection.
Treatment: Botox treatment is performed using a very thin needle, which causes minimal pain. The results are visible after about a week. Depending on the dose used and the area treated, the effects last between 3 and 6 months.
It is important to only undergo treatment with a doctor who has the necessary experience in treating wrinkles with Botox. Find out whether the doctor performs this treatment conscientiously and not just "on the side." A comprehensive consultation and a detailed analysis of your wishes, goals, and—very importantly—limitations are a must. If too high a dose is used or the treatment is performed in the wrong places, the dreaded mask-like faces or faces with unnatural expressions, as seen in various media, can result.
Follow-up treatment: After 14 days, all our patients receive a second appointment, during which we optimize the existing results free of charge. If the treatment is repeated in the same area, the so-called "Botox effect" occurs. This means that the muscles increasingly unlearn how to form wrinkles and the results last longer and longer.
Care instructions: Weinject Botox very precisely into the muscles that cause wrinkles. Until the Botox wrinkle treatment takes effect, which can be expected after about a week, it is important that no great pressure is exerted on the treatment area. For example, cosmetic treatments that involve a lot of pressure, such as facials or facial massages, should only be performed after one week. Saunas, steam baths, and solariums/sunbathing should also be avoided during this time, as increased body temperature can reduce the effectiveness of BTX. However, you can continue with your usual facial care routine and sporting activities.
Follow-up treatments:As a generalrule, the higher your muscle activity and the deeper your existing facial wrinkles, the shorter the intervals between Botox treatments should be. Depending on the area, the treatment usually lasts for 3-6 months. Most of our patients undergo the treatment 2-3 times a year.

Facial wrinkles generally develop over the course of a lifetime due to a decrease in the elastic fibers of the skin and a loss of fat and connective tissue. Furthermore, the musculature with its mimic muscles is also significantly involved in the development of wrinkles. Wrinkles that can be deliberately caused on the face - by tensing certain muscles, such as when frowning - are considered expression lines.
Some people have pronounced mimic muscles here. They can move this muscle very often or very strongly. If contractions of the muscle area are repeated frequently, they can lead to a "notching" of the wrinkles. In colloquial language, these wrinkles are also known as "frown lines", "frown lines" or "crow's feet". Such wrinkles can become so ingrained from the age of 20 that they are visible even when you relax. As a result, those affected often appear angry or sad, even though they don't want to be.

Some patients have concerns about having Botox injections because it is known to be a toxin produced by bacteria. However, as is often the case in medicine, the dose is the decisive factor in this case. Botulinum toxin, also known as Botox, is actually a medication that is capable of selectively weakening the action of individual muscles. Botox is used daily for medical purposes in neurology, for example, to alleviate problems with muscle spasms (blepharospasm, torticollis, spasticity). Many drugs used in medicine are poisons, but the guiding principle here is: "The dose makes the poison." Only a safe amount is used in Botox wrinkle treatment, so you don't need to worry. Botulinum toxin has a very wide therapeutic range. This means that you would have to inject around 50 ampoules of Botox for it to be toxic to humans.
There are different types of Botox; BTX-A is usually used for aesthetic treatments. Botox works by blocking the transmission of information from the nerves to the muscle, so that muscle contraction is prevented to the desired extent depending on the dose and, above all, according to your wishes. This means that the treated muscle can no longer be tensed as strongly afterwards.
