Pigment spots usually develop for a variety of reasons. They mainly develop over the years in areas that are particularly exposed to the sun. The cheeks, forehead, upper lip, décolleté and hands are usually severely affected. The pigmentation is caused by excessive melanin production in the skin. In addition to UV radiation from the sun, hormone fluctuations, excessive stress and our own lifestyle are also responsible for this excess melanin. A treatment called the "Cosmelan method" allows us to safely remove all types of pigmentation spots.

The Cosmelan method involves the application of a special series of treatments, which is divided into the following steps.

• Day 1: Mask treatment with Cosmelan 1 therapy cream in our practice
• Day 2: Checking the skin's appearance and moisturizing mask in our practice
• From the 2nd day for 3 months: 2-3 times daily Cosmelan 2 cream
• From the 4th month: Cosmelan 2 cream once a day

In order to monitor the progress of your treatment, we would like to see you in our surgery at approximately monthly intervals.

The skin regenerates all by itself if it is supplied with enough moisture. Moisturizing products are therefore particularly important, as is making sure you drink enough.

During the first two weeks of treatment, you should avoid saunas and hot baths. If you work in a hot environment, such as a kitchen, please let us know. Cortisone-based creams should be avoided during the treatment period. The skin should not be exposed to intense sunlight during this time. The use of SPF 50+ sunscreen is essential during the treatment period.
