Injection lipolysis is a procedure in which circumscribed fat deposits are dissolved by injecting the natural active ingredient phosphatidylcholine. In our practice, we only use the injection lipolysis procedure, also known as fat-away injection, for localized fat deposits that cannot be treated with coolsculpting cryolipolysis, e.g. very small localized fat deposits.

We have not been using fat-away injections for several years now. The original CoolSculpting® by ZELTIQ procedure and the body-shaping EMSCULPT neo application are our methods of choice for permanent fat reduction in problem areas.

What has been attracting attention in the press for many years as the "fat-away injection" is a fascinating idea whose implementation was developed and successfully tested by a Brazilian dermatologist in 1995 - and has now been used successfully worldwide for around 20 years.

The natural preparation phosphatidylcholine, which is obtained from soybeans, is injected directly into the unwanted fat deposits using a syringe. This active ingredient is produced in the body in the same composition and fulfills a variety of tasks there, particularly in fat metabolism.

The agent is injected directly into the affected areas using very fine needles, which stimulates the melting of fat cells and increased fat breakdown. The fat is permanently broken down naturally by the body via the liver, bile and excretory products. The body circumference of this region is measurably reduced and the skin contracts again due to its elasticity.
