Treatment for acne and blemishes

Flawlessly smooth skin and a radiant appearance is the goal for many. Unfortunately, the reality is often quite different and many people, especially younger people, suffer from blemishes, acne or hyperpigmented skin lesions after a flare-up of acne has subsided. To improve the appearance of the skin, medical peels are an effective way of treating acne.

Blackheads and pimples are usually caused by excessive sebum production combined with a keratinization disorder of the skin. Blackheads, pimples and reddened skin, which are caused by an inflammatory process in the skin, are unfortunately usually the result. Increased sebum production often has a wide range of causes, but usually has its origins in hormonal influences. Other possibilities can arise from increased UV exposure, the use of cosmetics, certain dietary and lifestyle factors, etc.

We declare war on acne

To prevent spots, the first step should be to thoroughly cleanse and care for the skin. We also recommend special peelings for blemished skin, acne and acne lesions. These 2 steps, consisting of cleansing and care together with acne peelings, declare war on skin impurities and acne.

A special acne peel improves the appearance of the skin by reducing blemishes and reducing or completely removing hyperpigmentation. This treatment enables a smoother, finer complexion, reduction of acne and acne lesions (pigmentation disorders) and healthier skin.

How does exfoliation reduce impurities?

The skin's appearance is improved by the comedolytic (= removal of dead and damaged skin cells), anti-inflammatory, depigmenting and antioxidant effects of the peel. Cornification is normalized and the bacteria-inhibiting properties of the acids help to improve acne and reduce sebum production.

Another acid complex penetrates deep into the sebum-filled follicles and cleans clogged pores particularly efficiently. The keratinolytic, bactericidal and fungicidal properties of the acid have an effective effect against all critical acne factors (comedones, bacteria, inflammation) in each individual phase. The subsequent skin renewal after the acne treatment reduces the appearance of fine lines, blemishes and pigmentation spots. The skin appears more even, radiant and healthy again.

Does my skin need special care after exfoliation? What do I need to consider?

After exfoliation, we recommend an intensive moisturizer that nourishes, cares for and regenerates the skin. As a result, the peeling process goes almost unnoticed. It is very important to use a sun protection cream after a peel. We recommend a moisturizing SPF50+ sunscreen with a broad filter spectrum against UVA and UVB radiation.

We will be happy to help you in our practice with the optimal selection of care products that are suitable for your needs.
