The OWN BLOOD TREATMENT
The natural way to your goal
Autologous blood therapy is a medical procedure in which the patient's own blood is used for therapeutic purposes. It is based on the principle that the reinfusion of autologous blood in a prepared and concentrated form as plasma can have various therapeutic effects on the body, and there are several methods and variations of autologous blood therapy.
In medicine, autologous blood therapy is used in many different areas, particularly in orthopaedics, sports medicine, dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
In dermatology and aesthetic medicine, this is used to rejuvenate the skin, reduce wrinkles, treat hair loss and improve the appearance of the skin, as well as for pathological changes to the skin. By injecting blood plasma enriched with growth factors, blood circulation in the skin is increased and collagen production is stimulated (anti-ageing).
In orthopaedics and sports medicine, autologous blood therapy is often used for injuries to joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles in order to accelerate healing and promote the regeneration process.
Autologous blood therapy using PRP(Platelet-Rich Plasma), APC(Autologous Platelet Concentrate) or ACS(Autologous Conditioned Serum) is becoming increasingly popular in the aesthetic field due to its potential benefits for various rejuvenation treatments. In aesthetic medicine, PRP or APC ("super" PRP) is often used for facial rejuvenation and to improve skin texture. ACS is used in the field of hair loss for hair restoration and for the treatment of skin conditions such as psoriasis or rosacea.
What are the aesthetic medical applications for PRP, APC and ACS?
- Facial rejuvenation and prevention
- Wrinkle treatment and tightening of the skin in the face, neck and décolleté area
- Hair thickening and strengthening of hair growth for thinning hair and hair breakage
- Hair restoration for androgenic hair loss and alopecia
- Post-treatment after hair transplantation
- Treatment of hair loss after pregnancy
- Treatment of rosacea
- Treatment of psoriasis
- Promotion of wound healing
- Hypertrophic scars / cicatricial keloids
- Hyperpigmentation
Facial rejuvenation using PRP and "super" PRP - naturally beautiful with autologous blood
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and "Super" PRP (APC- Autologous Platelet Concentrate) are used for facial rejuvenation treatments commonly referred to as "vampire facials" or "PRP facials". This treatment is highly valued as it achieves amazing results in a biological and natural way.
In this procedure, PRP or "super" PRP is injected to stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture and reduce wrinkles, fine lines and acne scars. It can also help to promote evenness and a fresh appearance.
We call it "super" PRP because it contains higher concentrations than PRP (900 platelets per microliter) and is therefore considered even more effective. As a boil-concentrated platelet concentrate, it achieves a wonderful anti-ageing effect.
The PRP and "Super" PRP can be injected locally or combined with microneedling or our innovative Morpheus8 treatment to enhance the effect of the skin rejuvenation treatment. Microneedling and Morpheus8, as well as laser treatments such as Laviien, create tiny channels in the skin, allowing the PRP to penetrate deeper and stimulate collagen production. These combinations are very effective in improving skin texture, reducing scars, minimizing pore size and promoting a radiant, fresh complexion.
As autologous blood treatments stimulate collagen production and improve the thickness and quality of delicate skin around the eyes, platelet concentrates are very popular for treating the eye area.

What is the treatment procedure?
After a detailed consultation, a small amount of blood (10-12 ml) is taken and prepared in the IMPACT centrifuge.
The blood is spun at high speed to separate the components according to their density. This process separates the platelet-rich plasma from the other blood components.
Once the centrifugation process is complete, the
autologous platelet concentrate is injected with very fine needles or applied externally (after Morpheus8, DermaPen or laser application) to the treatment area.

How many treatments are needed and how long does the effect last?
In the area of rejuvenation, it is recommended to carry out an annual treatment course of 4 treatments at intervals of 3-4 weeks. The effect lasts for around 6-12 months, depending on the initial condition and individual problems, and should therefore be refreshed regularly.
PRP/vampire lift costs: How much does a vampire lift treatment cost?
| Region | Costs |

What can I expect?
Studies have shown the effectiveness of the production of the body's own hyaluronic acid, the reduction of wrinkles and their depth, as well as the increase in collagen fibers. PRP and "Super PRP" supply the skin with a high concentration of the body's own substances and thus naturally induce skin renewal and cell regeneration.
The first effect is achieved by activating collagen and elastin production in the skin after approx. 2-3 weeks, before which an increase in skin hydration can already be seen.
Is the treatment painful and are there any side effects?
By applying an anesthetic gel to the skin, even particularly sensitive patients can be treated very gently and almost painlessly.
As an extract from the body's own blood is used during the treatment, there are no intolerances.
After the treatment, the increased blood circulation is noticeable and reddening of the face is likely. Applying a care cream and soothing mask afterwards reduces redness. No downtime is to be expected and you can return to your normal routine the next day.

Hair restoration for hair loss
ACS (Autologous Conditioned Serum) has shown promise in promoting hair growth and treating various types of hair loss, such as androgenic hair loss or for maintenance therapy after hair transplantation.
ACS therapy has the effect of cell regeneration, collagen synthesis and renewal of the hair follicles. After injection into the scalp, the stem cells in the hair root are stimulated, blood circulation is increased and hair regrowth is promoted.

How does the treatment work?
After a detailed consultation, a small amount of blood (10-12 ml) is taken and prepared in the IMPACT centrifuge.
The blood sample is spun at high speed to separate the components based on their density. This process separates the platelet-rich plasma from the other blood components.
The resulting autologous conditioned serum is a concentrated solution containing various anti-inflammatory proteins, including the interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra), which helps to regulate the inflammatory response.
After centrifugation, the platelet-rich plasma is injected into the scalp using very fine needles. The treatment itself takes around 20 minutes.

What success can be expected?
The positive effects have been proven in studies with an 80 % effectiveness. Hair growth shows an improvement of around 15 %.
In a study published in the British Journal of Dermatology in 2013, 45 patients with alopecia areata (localized, circular hair loss) received PRP injections in only half of the affected area. The other half was treated with either placebo or triamcinolone.
This study showed the significant success of autologous blood injections.
Autologous blood therapy is considered a safe treatment option, but its effectiveness depends on personal, individual factors. The number of sessions required can also vary. In order to determine the suitability of PRP treatment and to create a personalized treatment plan, a qualified consultation with our medical team is essential.
Rosacea (copper acne) and psoriasis
Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, ACS has a positive effect in the containment of rosacea and psoriasis. It alleviates redness and promotes skin regeneration.
For the application area of rosacea, treatment is recommended once a week for a period of about 4 weeks. A refresher treatment is recommended every quarter.
Which system does OmniMed work with?
Preparation of autologous blood with IMPACT
The IMPACT platform can be used to produce highly concentrated PRP preparations such as APC(Autologous Platelet Concentrate) or ACS(Autologous Conditioned Serum), which enable effective treatment of various dermatological and aesthetic problems. The process for producing PRP, APC or ACS with the IMPACT centrifuge is fast and fully automated, so that treatment can be carried out in the shortest possible time.
The great advantage of preparing the patient's own blood with the IMPACT system is that 2 separate syringes are connected to a tube in the centrifuge and the "BuffyCoat", which is important for successful treatment, is aspirated laser-assisted. This ensures that the maximum concentration of growth factors is present and that no counterproductive ingredients are sucked in.

Valuable "BuffyCoat"
In the context of platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP, APC, ACS), the "buffy coat" is the layer from which the platelets are extracted during the centrifugation process. The buffy coat is the boundary layer that forms between the plasma and the red blood cells. By isolating these platelets, the resulting concentrate is used for various therapeutic applications, for example to promote tissue regeneration and healing.
