Vampire Facelift / Autologous Blood Therapy
Treatment procedure
Autologous blood therapy
Preparation: After a detailed consultation, a small amount of blood (10-12 ml) is taken, which is prepared in the IMPACT centrifuge.
The blood is spun at high speed to separate the components by their density. Through this process, the platelet-rich plasma is separated from the other blood components.
Treatment: Once the centrifugation process is complete, the autologous platelet concentrate is injected with very fine needles, or applied topically (after Morpheus8, DermaPen or laser treatment) to the treatment area. By applying an anesthetic gel to the skin, even very sensitive patients can be treated very gently and almost painlessly.
Nachbehandlung: Increased blood circulation after the procedure can lead to redness, which can be reduced with a care cream and a mask.
Follow-up treatments: In the context of rejuvenation, an annual treatment course of 4 treatments at intervals of 3-4 weeks is recommended. The effect lasts, depending on the initial condition and individual issues, about 6-12 months and should therefore be refreshed regularly.
For rosacea, it is recommended to undergo treatment once a week for approximately 4 weeks. A maintenance treatment is recommended once every three months.

treatment method
Facial Rejuvenation with Autologous Blood: PRP and “Super-PRP”
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and “Super-PRP” (APC – Autologous Platelet Concentrate) are used for facial rejuvenation treatments commonly referred to as "Vampire facials" or "PRP facials". This treatment is highly valued because it achieves astonishing results in a biological and natural way.
In this procedure, PRP or “Super-PRP” is injected to stimulate collagen production, to skin structure to improve and wrinkles, fine lines and Acne scars to reduce. It can also help promote evenness and a fresh appearance.
The “Super-PRP” is what we call it because it contains higher concentrations than PRP (900 platelets per microliter) and is therefore considered even more effective. As a highly concentrated platelet concentrate, it achieves a wonderful anti-aging effect.
Applications and treatment combinations
PRP and “Super-PRP” can be injected locally or combined with Microneedling or our innovative Morpheus8 treatmeng combined to enhance the effect of the skin rejuvenation treatment. Microneedling and Morpheus8, as well as laser treatments such as LAVIEEN, create tiny channels in the skin, allowing the PRP to penetrate deeper before and after the treatment. We use only products directly from the manufacturerCollagen production is stimulated. These combinations are very effective at improving skin texture, reducing scars, minimizing pore size and promoting a radiant fresh complexion.
Because autologous blood treatments stimulate collagen production and improve the thickness and quality of the delicate skin around the eyes, platelet concentrates are very often used to treat the eye area.
Treatment system
The IMPACT Platform in Autologous Blood Therapy
At OmniMed we prepare the drawn autologous blood with IMPACT. With the IMPACT platform, highly concentrated PRP preparations such as APC (Autologous Platelet Concentrate) or ACS (Autologous Conditioned Serum) can be produced, enabling effective treatment of various dermatological and aesthetic problems. The process of producing PRP, APC or ACS with the IMPACT centrifuge is fast and fully automated, so treatment can be performed in a very short time.
Laser-assisted cutting
The great advantage of processing autologous blood with the IMPACT system is that 2 separate syringes in the centrifuge are connected by a tube and the necessary and important “BuffyCoat” is laser-assisted aspirated is removed. This ensures that the maximum concentration of growth factors is present and no counterproductive components are aspirated.
Valuable "BuffyCoat"
In the context of therapy with platelet-rich plasma (PRP, APC, ACS), the „Buffy Coat“ is the layer from which the platelets are extracted during the centrifugation process. The buffy coat is considered the boundary layer that forms between the plasma and the red blood cells. By isolating these platelets, the resulting concentrate is used for various therapeutic applications, for example to promote tissue regeneration and healing.
Background knowledge
Autologous blood therapy
Autologous blood therapy is a medical procedure in which one’s own blood is used for therapeutic purposes. It is based on the principle that reinfusion of autologous blood in processed and concentrated form as plasma can have various therapeutic effects on the body. There are several methods and variations of autologous blood therapy.
In medicine, autologous blood therapy is used in many areas, particularly in orthopedics, sports medicine, dermatology and Aesthetic medicine.
Applications of autologous blood therapy
In dermatology and in the aesthetic field autologous blood therapy is used for skin rejuvenation, reduction of wrinkles, hair loss treatment and to improve skin appearance, but also for pathological skin changes. By injecting plasma enriched with growth factors, skin blood circulation is increased and collagen production is stimulated (anti-aging).
In orthopedics and sports medicine it is frequently used in autologous blood therapy for injuries of joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles to accelerate healing and promote the regeneration process.
PRP, APC, and ACS in Aesthetic Medicine
Autologous blood therapy using PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), APC (Autologous Platelet Concentrate) or ACS (Autologous Conditioned Serum) is increasingly popular in the aesthetic field due to its potential benefits for various rejuvenation treatments. In aesthetic medicine, PRP or APC (“Super” PRP) is often used for facial rejuvenation and to improve skin structure. ACS is used in the area of hair loss for hair restoration and, due to its anti-inflammatory properties, has a positive effect in containing rosacea as well as psoriasis. Redness is alleviated and skin regeneration is promoted.
studies
Autologous Blood Therapy / Vampire Lift
Studies have demonstrated effectiveness in stimulating the production of the body’s own hyaluronic acid, reducing wrinkles and their depth, as well as increasing collagen fibers. PRP and “Super PRP” supply the skin with highly concentrated endogenous substances and thereby naturally promote Skin renewal and cell regeneration.
The first effect occurs when collagen and elastin production in the skin is stimulated after about 2–3 weeks; even before that, an increase in skin moisture can already be observed.
side effects
Autologous blood therapy
Since an endogenous extract from the blood is used in the treatment, there are no intolerances.
After the treatment, increased blood circulation is noticeable and some facial redness is likely. By applying a care cream and a soothing mask after the procedure, redness is reduced. No downtime is to be expected; the next day one can return to their usual daily routine.
