Where does CoolSculpting come from?

Coolsculpting was developed at Harvard University. The CoolSculpting system is a combination of the science of cryolipolysis with ZELTIQ's pioneering proprietary technology. CoolSculpting differs from other non-invasive fat removal procedures because its revolutionary cooling technology targets fat cells and permanently eliminates them in a gentle, controlled manner.

Is cryolipolysis the same as CoolSculpting?

No. CoolSculpting may only be used by doctors. CoolSculpting is currently the only device that is approved by the FDA approved for fat reduction was established. The FDA is an American authority that reports to the Ministry of Health. This authority is very strict and has 2 criteria:

Is the device safe?

Yes, the device has both FDA and CE certification. The CoolSculpting system has numerous sensors, which prevents overcooling of the treatment area.

Are there any side effects with CoolSculpting?

Fat cells react far more sensitively to cold than the surrounding tissue (skin, nerves, muscles). The treated fat cells crystallize at just 4 degrees Celsius, while the rest of the area remains unharmed. Pain or serious discomfort is very rare during cryolipolysis treatment. Sometimes, in addition to swelling and redness, there may be bruising or temporary numbness. Unlike with surgery, however, you will be able to go about your everyday life as normal after cryolipolysis treatment, saving you time off work.

Am I even suitable for CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a treatment method to reduce unwanted problem areas. However, it is not suitable for eliminating large fat deposits or losing weight. The following areas are accessible for treatment:

Liposuction or rather CoolSculpting? For whom are these methods more suitable?

This must be decided on an individual basis. Broadly speaking, CoolSculpting is a method for contouring the body. The classic fat apron must be surgically removed. We will be happy to advise you.

I fear stretched skin after CoolSculpting. Can something like this happen?

The skin cannot "expand" as a result of the procedure. Fatty tissue is broken down over a period of 2-3 months and the skin contracts steadily over this period. Treatment is not recommended if the skin is already very flabby.

Is CoolSculpting also suitable for men?

The number of men taking advantage of CoolSculpting is steadily increasing. It is not a question of gender. In this day and age, beauty treatments are no longer a taboo subject for men either.

How long does a treatment session last?

The duration of treatment depends on how many zones you have treated. We have a total of 6 CoolSculpting systems and can therefore treat very quickly = Dualsculpting.

We have all CoolSculpting applicators in duplicate in our practice, as well as the latest generation of applicators = CoolAdvantage. With these, the treatment time is reduced again from 60 to 35 minutes.

What results can I expect?

The CoolSculpting treatment achieves a reduction in fat tissue in the relevant areas of the body. Approximately 25% to 30% of the fat tissue disappears per treatment and the body shape is redefined. The majority of patients are satisfied with the results after just one treatment. It is also possible to treat a region a second time - the decisive factor is the initial situation and the desired effect. We will advise you in detail on this.

Are the results permanent?

After just a few weeks, you will notice a change in your body - a reduction in your local problem areas. After around 2-3 months, the changes will become even more visible. CoolSculpting unfolds its full effect and gives you a new body feeling - permanently! Supplementary measures such as exercise and sport are always useful and enhance the effect.
