Diastasis recti, or also Rectus diastasis, is defined as a gap between the two sides of the Musculus rectus abdominis (straight abdominal muscle, anterior or middle abdominal musculature). EMSCULPT Study

The Physicians Brian M. Kinney and Paula Lozanova conducted a study in 2018 at the USC School of Medicine in California on the effect of EMSCULPT on the abdominal area. For this they examined 22 subjects both before starting a treatment series of the recommended number of sessions with the HIFEM technology, as well as two months after and six months after using modern magnetic resonance imaging examined. The results suggest a significant effect of the electromagnetic field generated by EMSCULPT. Because two months after treatment the subjects showed on average a reduction of fat tissue by 18.6%, an increase of abdominal muscles by 15.4%, and a reduction of diastasis recti by 10.4%. The results after six months also lead the two physicians to conclude that the results achieved with HIFEM technology are long-lasting are.
