Freshness kick for the skin

A tired appearance with sallow-looking skin has led us to offer a special treatment in our practice. Very often, individual areas are improved in wrinkle treatments, but the overall appearance is not given as much importance.

Healthy and radiant skin is a clear beauty feature and gives the face in particular a fresh appearance. Stressed skin can quickly make us look older than we actually are.

The Glowing Skin Treatment is a special treatment to improve the texture of the skin. The treatment lasts around 75 minutes and includes:

• Juvederm VOLITE is injected into the upper layers of the skin (dermis) using wafer-thin, fine injections. The product is a new type of cross-linked hyaluronic acid and thus achieves a long-term improvement in the quality of the skin. It is distributed like a net over the coming weeks and thus ensures hydrated skin for the next 6-9 months. The weakly cross-linked hyaluronic acid in VOLITE stimulates the body's own collagen and hyaluronic acid production. This is why it is also known as a "skin quality enhancer".

• Dermaroller: With a microneedling treatment, we cause micro-injuries to the skin in order to increase blood circulation and activate the skin's own repair mechanisms. The way the dermaroller works is a very complex physiological process; microneedling stimulates skin cells to reproduce and proliferate. (Note: This article was written in March 2017. We at OmniMed now use the innovative Dermapen for microneedling).

• PRP Platelet-rich plasma: The focus is on the the body's own regeneration by administering very valuable substances from the patient's own blood, which is why the treatment is also known as the "vampire lift" or "Dracula therapy". The abbreviation "PRP" stands for "Platelet Rich Plasma"Platelet-rich plasma, which is extracted from the patient's own blood in a process and re-administered for therapeutic purposes. The plasma contains highly concentrated growth factorswhich are responsible for cell regeneration and skin renewal.

• Mesobotox: In contrast to a conventional Botox treatment, Mesobotox uses a smaller dose that is distributed over the entire face.
