The term stands for High Intensity Focused ElectroMagnetic, because the procedure works with electromagnetic waves. These are emitted by the EMSELLA chair and generate supramaximal muscle contractions in the pelvic floor. As a result, the muscle is strengthened so effectively in just a 30-minute session that it would usually not be possible even with particularly intensive and targeted training.

The EMSELLA treatment

During the 30-minute treatment, patients sit fully clothed on the EMSELLA chair. They can read something, listen to music, or simply relax.
