Patients need guidance on who is the right doctor for their problems. Finding this is not always easy, as everyone has very specific requirements and needs. The Institute of Management and Economic Research has been measuring the popularity of the Austrian medical profession for five years now based on patients' online communication.

METHOD

Reviews and comments from patients on the internet were used for the study "Austria's popular doctors". Around 420,000 reviews of around 10,400 registered doctors from various online sources and platforms were used for this purpose.

The awards are only given to those doctors who can demonstrate the top rating in their specialist areas.

Dr. Stefan Horwath from Omnimed has received an award in the category most popular doctors in the field of aesthetic treatments.
