When are our vascular lasers used

Our vascular lasers are used when visible blood vessels such as spider veins or redness caused by couperose appear.

Spider veins are fine, dilated little veins that are especially visible on the legs. They occur when small blood vessels in the skin wall weaken and expand. Spider veins are often harmless but are frequently perceived as bothersome because they make the skin's appearance look uneven.

Couperose is a skin condition in which fine, red veins become visible on the face, especially on the cheeks and nose. These veins widen due to a weakness of the blood vessels and lead to persistent redness. With couperose there can also be an inflammatory component that makes the skin more sensitive.

In both cases, our vascular lasers offer an effective and gentle treatment to target the dilated blood vessels and improve the appearance of the skin.

What do I need to consider during laser treatment?

Before a laser treatment there are some important things to consider to achieve the best possible result. These include, among other things, avoiding sun exposure and self-tanners as well as thorough skin care. Certain medications can also affect the treatment.

What side effects can vascular laser treatment have?

After a vascular laser treatment, mild redness, swelling or a sensation of warmth may occur, which usually disappear within a few hours to days. In rare cases, small bruises, crusting or temporary skin discoloration may occur. Very rarely there may be blisters or scars, especially with insufficient skin preparation.
These side effects are generally temporary and resolve after a short time. An experienced practitioner and following the preparation instructions reduce the risk of complications.

Removing spider veins with the Nd:YAG laser

To effectively remove spider veins, we use our Nd:YAG Laser. This laser penetrates deeply into the skin and targets the affected blood vessels without damaging the surrounding tissue. The heat of the laser dissolves the blood clot in the dilated vessels, which causes the spider veins to fade and disappear over time.
After just a few sessions you can notice a marked improvement in the skin's appearance. The Nd:YAG Laser is particularly suitable for treating spider veins on the legs and provides a smoother and more even skin texture.

IDAS laser system for couperose

The IDAS Lasersystem is a state-of-the-art technology that is particularly effective in treating couperose. In this skin condition, small blood vessels in the face dilate, resulting in red veins, especially on the cheeks and nose.

The IDAS laser works with precise pulses of light that target the affected blood vessels and treat them gently. The laser light is absorbed by the red blood pigment (haemoglobin) in the dilated vessels, causing them to contract and disappear over time.
